      Unconventionally Fruitful,

      Evergreen CannaCon

      Midwest CannaCon in Detroit

with Saturnalia Canna Carnival on Deck

      · copywriting,branding,marketing,event coverage,convention

This is a toast to ancient wisdom of plant medicine:

Perpetual Power + Perennial Peace for Planting Seeds to Sow + Grow Goodness of Abundance in Golden Gratitude Aplenty

CannaCon is the third in-person convention we’ve covered in less than a year. That feels like a lot due to the recent digital nature of gathering during a global pandemic. Being present together in-person now is such a renewed privilege. We're grateful to be here for this special moment in time. And we're extra glad to be in good company with very cool, fresh and green companies all around.

I’m not even mad about spending $8+ on an iced lavender latte with oat milk.

It was so velvety, I even got another the next day.

There’s something mighty special about one brave, massively misunderstood little plant, for it alone to have such power to gather this global group of folks in-person for two days here, now.

Household names like Honeywell (est. 1906) showed up for a taste of the sweet and now socially acceptable honeypot. Glad to hear stricter settings say similar sentiments about how now that cannabis is “less taboo," they’ll come out to play (and rake in their take of the green, naturally).

We’ve grown accustomed to the standard convention of corporate event coverage to know CannaCon is quite the spectacle. This is where to find those who believe greener pastures are born by paving paths first dubbed “unconventional.”

For the hungry and curious risk-taker, CannaCon is simply a no-brainer. Plus, as truckloads of branded swag filled a big, free bag up with plentiful goodies, it was clear that this is a professionally unconventional, new kind of Halloween - extra minty with a side of Reese's.

The energy inside Huntington Place was heightened and brightened by a collective buzz of light and creative energy all around. From seriously futuristic, innovative technology to passion-filled products, services and stories, CannaCon showcased a community who cares to share and show and tell with one common goal: to help grow the industry further, faster, safer, cleaner, better overall.

We’re grateful to have crossed paths and connected with so many leaders and entrepreneurs doing just that, especially those doing so enthusiastically. We are honored to introduce some of the inspiring and innovative exhibits we enjoyed at Midwest CannaCon in Detroit.

Fresh, Clean Vibes on the Willowside

This "breath of clean air" was refreshing all around. We enjoyed a wholehearted conversation with the truly kind, down-to-earth Steven Adams for Willow Industries. Using ozone gas, they eliminate unwanted microbes including yeast, mold and bacteria, making compliance a breeze.

Agrify's Steven Drucker walked us through just how this incredibly futuristic technology takes all the guesswork out of growing, essentially eliminating pains ahead of the game, saving lightyears of time and money typically burned on trial and error.

Fully integrated, data-driven, evidence-based cultivation, extraction, and post-processing solutions - The future of growth is here, indeed.

*Special thanks to Caitlin Moakley for the personal introduction to Agrify. The whole team was a joy to speak with. Glad we stayed awhile to hear what they had to say!

Of all the super futuristic high-tech featured at CannaCon, Agrify easily took the cake as most impressive, innovative, advanced technology transforming the industry.

Gracie Lissick was a sunny delight to speak with as she walked us through how to further elevate commercial profits with motorized lifts for lights and drying racks. Lift and Grow makes possible, convenient and near-effortless, the ability to adjust the height of your cultivation system with their carefully designed Harvest to Process technology.

The bumper sticker caught our eye, pulling us in to learn more about Summit Research. "Are you the mad scientist behind all this?" I asked. "Yes," said Bryce Grenon. *Jaw agape.

Bryce traveled from Whispering Pines Drive in Scotts Valley, California to share a passionate introduction to "Only the best" provider of lab glassware and distillation equipment on the planet. Tough to top a statement as tall as that one! Better believe it.

That's a wrap, Midwest CannaCon! We'll see you in August at Saturnalia Canna Carnival. This one's bound to be a hit as the first-ever, no-hassle cannabis consumption carnival. Talk about a merry-go-round complete with a carousel, ferris wheel and plenty more festivities!

      Highest regards,

      Brittney & Justin
