      Betty's 100th B*day Eve, 1st Everafter

      Happy Birthday Eve, Betty White!

      · betty white,january,past,present,now

Among the many lessons learned last year, this one I consider most pivotal: the power of the middle. This inspired my decision to share mid-month updates this year. I do hope you enjoy!

      *Look WHO’s talkin’

Authentic communication has increased tenfold in these first two weeks & two days free from the confines of social media. Many belly laughs shared as I caught up with friends & fam near, far & new via 2+ hr phone calls, FaceTime, text, & yes, Zoom. Here’s a list of who I’ve been chatting it up with in these first 2 weeks & 2 days of 2022:

      First:

      God, Self, Justin, Frida

      Fam:

Mom, Dad, Scott, Haleigh, Grandma, Corey, Jake, Lindsey, Aunt Terry (MI), Mimi (FL)

      Friends:

Staci (OH), Sierra (TX), Jaz (CA), Hunter, Leah, Jen, Courtney (MI), Ashwini (MO), Candice (Europe)

      New:

Jake Fedida (CT), Flint Mitchell (CA)

Jake is a humble, talented voice actor from New York who currently works for ESPN.

Flint was also featured in theSkimm for publishing his new book, Seeking Authenticity.

      *WHEREabouts

Not very far! Much like hedgehogs, winter is my hibernation time. However, managed to make it out to my new favorite local cafe right here in Ypsi. Introduced Mom to Bridge Community Cafe on Monday, Jan. 3! Everyone say, "Hi Mom!" to my beautiful heroine here:

Other places include new fave, Ollie’s! Also Fresh Thyme, At Home, Dom’s, Kroger, the gym & Plum Market. Short list. Winter.

Plum Market has a new nonalcoholic gin! Having been my final favorite liquor before parting ways with alcohol last year, I had to try this. Verdict: LOVE! Actually, honestly, I much prefer the taste of this alternative. It’s a delicious delight! Pairs well with pineapple juice & sparkling water. Pop a twirly ‘brella in & we’re off to a mental beach.

      *HOW it’s goin’

Leaps & bounds better than I anticipated! Plus a slight neurosis that accompanies this first-ever winter with my new pal, sobriety. While I’m not swimming in a brain fog of all the wine until beloved sunshine returns, this is the worst of what I’ve got going currently. For that I am beyond grateful to know I am blessed with goodness in every direction.

Life is serving me beautifully in ways I never thought I'd experience. I'm on a spiritual healing journey that continues to unravel before my eyes. It's been wondrous really. Here's what I am learning:

You don’t have to give it all at once for all.

Just give what you can when you should & let it feel good & when it does, give a little more.

Never too much yet always just enough & know you’re always enough as you are.

And here we are, it’s 2022. The worlds within us all want to know: truly, who are you now? 👁📍🌊
